By Arvind Ojha, Himanshu Mishra: Severed human body parts were found near a bus stand in Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan area earlier today and a team has been deployed to identify the corpse, the police said. The police suspect the corpse to be of a woman from the hair recovered.

The victim is suspected to have been killed and then chopped into several pieces, which were put in a plastic bag and disposed of.

Locals called the police after the body parts began to rot and smell. The police reached the spot and opened the bags to find a woman’s skull, parts of her hips and a palm in it.

The crime scene was inspected by the forensics team and the remains have been taken to AIIMS.

A murder case has been registered by the police, who have launched an investigation into the case and collected CCTV footage from the area.
