'Woke up to him raping me': Woman assaulted by Insta friend

NEW DELHI: A 21-year-old woman was allegedly

drugged

and then raped by her social media friend in Mumbai. The woman shared the details of the incident on

Instagram

, calling it "most

traumatic experience

".
The survivor met the accused, identified as Heetik Shah, after interacting with him on Instagram. He is yet to be arrested.

In her post, she claimed her drink was spiked with "roofies".

She also mentioned that she suffered blackout after having drinks.

The next thing she remembered is waking up to him raping her. "I woke up to him raping me, and despite my efforts to stop him, he continued and even slapped me three times with intense rage, leaving me scared and intimidated," she claimed in her post.
The alleged incident took place at Shah's friend's residence.
"The place turned out to be his friend's, and his friends intervened to protect him. He tried to get me out before I could call for help, even threatening me in their presence," she alleged.

She called her cousin to take her home and after narrating the incident to her parents, she filed an FIR.
The accused has been booked under IPC sections 376 (punishment for

rape

) and 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt).
Replying to her post, Mumbai Police wrote, "We are grateful you duly reported it and we assure you that investigation should be rightfully done to ensure justice."
At the end of her post, she cautioned girls to be more wary of who they talk to and go out with.
