two men from Punjab for allegedly providing illegal firearms and cartridges to the two shooters who had fired at actor

’s Bandra residence, and also indicated an “international connection”.
Police also brought four witnesses from Bihar who are expected to provide statements before a magistrate, that could be relied on against the accused during the trial.

The accused were identified as Subhash Chander (37) and Anuj Thapan (32), who are from jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s village. Police said Thapan has a criminal past and knows Bishnoi personally. According to police, the duo travelled to Mumbai, stayed with shooters Vikas Kumar Gupta and Sagar Kumar Pal, and provided them with the guns.
Joint commissioner of police (crime) Lakhmi Gautam said, “We will be able to gather more information once they are in our custody.”
