Tunisha Sharma suicide case: Sheezan deleted chats with alleged secret GF, claims police

Sheezan Khan is in police custody in connection with Tunisha Sharma’s suicide case.

Actor Sheezan Khan, who has been arrested in connection with the death of his co-actor and former girlfriend Tunisha Sharma, deleted his WhatsApp chats with another girl, the Waliv Police claimed.

In the application submitted by Waliv Police seeking Sheezan’s remand, the officials alleged that Sheezan Khan had an affair with another girl apart from Tunisha Sharma, and was on call with his secret girlfriend for two hours on the day of Tunisha’s death.

The police had earlier taken Sheezan to sets of his show, Ali Baba: Daastan-E-Kabul in Naigaon, at around 2 am on Monday night. The police found a piece of paper on the set with ‘Sheezan’ written on one side and ‘Tunisha’ written on the other. ‘He is blessed to have me as a co-actor woohooo’ was also scribbled on the paper.

The police have claimed that Sheezan Khan, who was arrested for abetment of suicide in connection with Tunisha Sharma murder case, is not cooperating with the investigation. The accused allegedly spoke to Tunisha shortly before her death, but has not revealed the content of that conversation to the police.

During the course of investigation, the police seized three mobile phones, including two iPhones.

The police have recovered Sheezan’s mobile phone and have found several chats with Tunisha, Tunisha’s mother, and others which will be analyzed further.

The investigating officer is interrogating Sheezan several times a day but he is neither answering the questions correctly nor is he helping the investigation, the police alleged.

Officials further claimed that Sheezan’s chat with another girl, who is allegedly his secret girlfriend, have been deleted. The police are trying to retrieve the deleted chats and will question Sheezan over its content.

The police in its remand copy said that that Tunisha’s mother’s statement is yet to be recorded as she is no condition to give one currently. Sheezan will further be questioned on the basis of Tunisha’s mother’s statement.

TUNISHA SHARMA’S DEATH

Tunisha Sharma was shooting for her TV show, Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul when she died by suicide. Initial reports suggested that she ended her life on the sets, in the make-up room at Naigaon. Tunisha was rushed to hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

Following her death, police arrested her co-actor Sheezan Mohammad Khan under section 306 (abetment to suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
