LUCKNOW/BAREILLY:

Congress

expelled Acharya Pramod

Krishnam

from party for "indiscipline and anti-party activities" on Saturday evening, days after he criticised party leadership for skipping Ram Lalla's consecration ceremony in Ayodhya and termed its decision "anti-Hindu".
On Sunday, Krishnam - who was considered close to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra when she was AICC in-charge of UP - said he was "punished" for meeting PM Modi. "Ram aur rashtra par samjhauta nahi kiya ja sakta (No compromise can be done on Ram and nation)," he said on X, tagging Rahul Gandhi.
Krishnam is expected to join BJP on Feb 19, coinciding with PM Modi's anticipated visit to Sambhal. Krishnam, who heads Shri

Kalki Dham

in Sambhal, affirmed his allegiance to PM Modi. He had met Modi on Feb 1 and extended an invitation to lay the foundation stone of Kalki Dham's "expansion".
Krishnam said: "The country needs a leader like Modi... I will stand with Modi throughout my life." UP CM

Yogi Adityanath

is expected to visit Sambhal on Monday to check arrangements for the event.

Krishnam said Congress's animosity towards Modi had rendered them 'anti-Sanatan' and they have strayed from its core ideology rooted in culture of invoking Lord Ram, highlighting Mahatma Gandhi's association with "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram" and his vision of "Ram rajya".
He challenged senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal to cite his alleged anti-party statements and activities.
