Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday celebrated 'mini Diwali' at his residence, following his arrival in Delhi from Ayodhya. The Prime Minister lit diyas (earthen lamps) at his residence and shared pictures on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption "Ram Jyoti".

Earlier today, PM Modi performed rituals of Ram Lalla's 'Pran Pratishtha' as 'mukhya yajman'.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, and several other BJP leaders also lit lamps at their homes.

PM Modi shared photos lighting the 'Ram Jyoti in front of a photograph of the Ram statue from the Ayodhya temple at his official 7, Lok Kalyan Marg residence.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also shared photographs on X, formerly Twitter, lighting a 'Ram Jyoti' at his residence.

"Today Ram Lalla is seated in his new, divine and grand temple in Ayodhya Dham. The whole country is celebrating Diwali. On this auspicious occasion, lighting a 'Ram Jyoti' at home with family," Singh said.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari was joined at his residence by the students from a school for hearing-impaired children, who participated in the prayers with the minister and his family. He shared visuals of the celebration at his residence on X.

The Ram Mandir was packed with thousands of guests, including distinguished celebrities who reached the temple ahead of the consecration ceremony. These include Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble, Bollywood superstars Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and South actors Rajinikanth, Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi, among others.

Meanwhile, members of the Opposition bloc INDIA decided to give the event a miss.
