Congress
on Tuesday said it stands by
SC verdict
on
Ram Mandir
and has no plans to get it overturned if it comes to office. Congess’ response came in reaction to PM Modi’s charge at a rally in MP, where he said that
Rahul Gandhi
is seeking to get the
Ayodhya verdict
overturned.
Congress asserted it has always maintained in the Ayodhya case that whatever SC will decide, it will accept it and alleged it was BJP that had first questioned the involvement of the court in the matter and then it changed its position to accept the role of SC.
“...Another leader who left Congress exposed a deep conspiracy, saying the shehzada intends to overturn SC decision on Ram temple like his father did in Shah Bano case,” PM said at a poll rally in MP.
Congress neta Jairam Ramesh said: “The PM is spreading a pandemic of lies. His entire political life has been anchored in ‘Asatyameva Jayate’.”
