Miscreants hurl eggs at TDP leader Nara Lokesh's security team in Andhra Pradesh’s Proddatur

By Apoorva Jayachandran : A few miscreants threw eggs at Telugu Desam Party (TDP) general secretary Nara Lokesh's security team late on Thursday night after his Yuva Galam Padayatra (foot march) reached Proddatur in Andhra Pradesh’s YSR Kadapa district.

The incident that took place late on Thursday night at the Reliance petrol station in the city caused unrest in the area.

The two youths, who hurled eggs at the TDP leader's team allegedly belonged to the YSR Congress Party, claimed sources.

According to sources, the TDP workers swung into action, caught the suspects, and handed them to the police. However, things got tense after the police intervened. The detained suspects were taken to the police station.

As a precautionary measure, heavy security has been deployed in the area.

TDP’s Yuva Galam Padayatra foot march was started by Nara Lokesh on January 27, 2023. He started the padayatra for the youth of Andhra Pradesh for 400 days with a road map to walk 4,000 km from Kuppam to Srikakulam.
