Lookout notice against HD Revanna, probe in kidnapping case intensifies

As trouble continues to brew for NDA's Hassan Lok Sabha constituency candidate Prajwal Revanna and his father, HD Revanna, a lookout notice was issued against the latter. The grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda and the party MP from Hassan, 33-year-old Prajwal is facing allegations of sexually abusing women after scores of explicit video clips started making the rounds in recent days.

Reports said the lookout notice against HD Revanna was to prevent him from fleeing the country. Meanwhile, as many as 700 citizens have written an open letter to the National Commission for Women (NCW), demanding strict action against Revanna. The Special Investigation Team (SIT), probing the allegations in the case, was also likely to visit Revanna's residence in Karnataka's Holenarasipur.

The Special Investigation Team probing the Prajwal Revanna sex tapes case has issued a lookout notice against his father HD Revanna, to prevent him from fleeing the country. Meanwhile, a group of 700 citizens have written an open letter to the NCW, demanding stringent action against Prajwal and HD Revanna, involved with the sexual violence case.
The Special Investigation Team has intensified its probe into a kidnapping case, involving HD Revanna. This came after a 20-year-old man alleged that the JD(S) MLA's associate abducted his mother. The complainant, Raju HD, and his mother worked as a house help at Revanna's farmhouse. The probe team has so far searched more than 50 locations in connection with the case.
Addressing a press conference, former Mandya MP and BJP leader, LR Shivarame Gowda, alleged HD Revanna was a habitual offender and that he had been involved with such cases earlier too, when they both visited England 30 years back. Gowda also said he had caught Revanna "red-handed". On being asked if that was a rape, Gowda said, "Do you think he would have done that with consent?"
The police have seized the mobile phone of Sathish, a close aide of Revanna. The mobile phone was sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team. According to the details, Sathish had visited multiple places and the police were trying to locate the kidnapped woman through Sathish's mobile network.
The Special Investigation Team has appointed a support staff to assist them with the probe into the sex tapes case. Eight officials, including one Superintendent of Police (SP) and two inspectors, have been appointed. The order to appoint more officers to the team came from the government.
