Kerala: 1 dead, over 40 injured as bus carrying students rolls down gorge in Idukki

By Shibimol KG: One person died, while more than 40 others were injured in a road accident in Kerala on Sunday. The incident was reported near Muniyara in Idukki district of the state.

According to the details, a tourist bus carrying students of the Regional Industrial Training Institute was returning from Malappuram, when the vehicle rolled down a gorge.

The accident was reported at nearly 1:15 am.

The deceased, identified as Milhaj, was trapped under the bus for a long time after the accident.

Those injured in the mishap were shifted to a hospital for treatment.

Reports stated there were a total of 41 students and 3 bus crew members onboard the vehicle at the time of the incident.
