Meanwhile, Congress made a serious accusation on Sunday, claiming that "a pen drive full of pornographic videos" has been revealed and obscene video clips are circulating in Hassan district. Congress party alleged that "MP and NDA candidate Prajwal Revanna sexually assaulted thousands of women and recorded objectionable videos of them".
An FIR has been filed against Prajwal Revanna and his father JD(S) leader HD Revanna, in connection with the sexual harassment case at the Holenarasipur police station based on a complaint by their former house help. The allegations have put Prajwal Revanna under intense scrutiny, as the investigation into the matter continues.
Who is Prajwal Revanna?

  • Prajwal Revanna, aged 33 is the first third-generation member from the Gowda clan. He is the son of Karnataka's ex-PWD minister HD Revanna, the nephew of HD Kumaraswamy. HD Revanna is the son of former Prime Minister and JD(S) supremo HD Deve Gowda.

  • Revanna completed his mechanical engineering degree from Bangalore Institute of Technology in 2014. Since then, he has been actively involved in the political sphere.

  • In November 2019, at the young age of 29, Revanna was appointed as the state general secretary of JDS.

  • The Janata Dal (Secular) has once again selected him as their candidate from Hassan for the Lok Sabha elections. He is running against Congress candidate, Shreyas M Patel, who is 31 years old and the grandson of Puttaswamy Gowda. Hassan was among the constituencies that participated in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections, which took place on April 26.
