arrested

here on Monday on

suspicion

of being linked to the suspected paper leak ahead of Sunday's NEET-UG. The fathers of two of the students and the mother of a third were arrested, too.
One of the arrested "middlemen" is an accused in another paper-leak case filed by

Bihar Public Service Commission

. Patna SSP Rajiv Mishra said sleuths seized "incriminating" documents & e-devices from the suspects.
Denying reports on social media platforms claiming paper leak in the NEET-UG 2024 conducted on Sunday, the agency termed them as “mischievous and preposterous” and the claims as “baseless.” Barring an incident in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, where some students forcibly took away the question papers before the conclusion of the examination, NTA on Monday said that all other photographs of papers circulating in social media have no relation to the actual exam.

The agency also said that there have been cases of malpractice/ impersonation where strict action has been taken on the impersonators/ candidates.
