KE Kantesh, the son of expelled BJP leader KS Eshwarappa, has obtained a stay order from a Bengaluru court against multiple media houses refraining them from publishing or uploading any 'obscene' videos or other types of content about him. This came amid the sex scandal involving JD(S) MP and NDA's Lok Sabha candidate Prajwal Revanna, which has become the latest flashpoint between the BJP and the Opposition.

Kantesh had moved the Bangalore City court on April 27, seeking an injunction order against 50 media houses and received a temporary stay order on April 30.

"The plaintiff has temporary injunction, restraining the defendant, their agents, their henchman, or any person acting through, or claiming under them from telecasting or broadcasting or publishing any absence, photos, videos, screenshots, or obscene, audio pertaining to the plaintive in the respective Media," the court's order read.

Following the stay order, KS Eshwarappa said, "We know how to respond to such politics; hence we got a stay. That's all there is to this."

Last month, KS Eshwarappa was expelled from the party for six years for his decision to contest the ongoing Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate from Shivamogga.

The BJP's decision came after the former Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister openly rebelled against the party and said he was no longer with them and doesn't fear to face any disciplinary action. KS Eshwarappa was unhappy over his son, Kantesh, being denied a Lok Sabha ticket from Haveri seat. Former Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai was named from the seat.

Meanwhile, in the Prajwal Revanna case, the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has issued a lookout notice against him after it was alleged that he fled to Germany on April 26. A notice has been issued at all immigration points across the world, even as multiple videos and photographs showing him indulging in sexual abuse of many women have been shared widely on social media.
