Seat-share dispute in Mahayuti, Canada rakes up Nijjar killing and more

A fresh round of India-China border talks was held on Thursday between the two countries in Beijing. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on how to achieve "complete disengagement" and resolve the remaining issues along the LAC, the External Affairs Ministry said. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that India should take seriously the allegations regarding the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey. He said that Ottawa is aiming to “work constructively” with New Delhi to “get to the bottom” of the case. The United States, reiterating their comments on the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, made a fresh statement stressing "fair, transparent, timely legal processes." US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller also referred to the Congress party's allegations that tax authorities had frozen some of their bank accounts.
