NEW DELHI: A

Delhi court

has granted

bail

to three accused in an ED

money laundering

case against Chinese smartphone company

Vivo

.
Additional sessions judge Kiran Gupta granted the relief to Bhupinder Kaur, Gagandeep Singh, and Weigang Wang in an order dated May 1, saying there were no allegations that they did not co-operate during the investigation.

The three were not arrested, either. The three had appeared before the court in pursuance of summons to take cognizance of an ED chargesheet in the case.
Senior advocate PK Dubey, appearing for Wang, who resides in Andhra Pradesh, told the court that the investigation was already complete and no purpose would be served by sending the accused to judicial custody.
ED opposed the bail applications saying the accused could flee and the allegations against them were serious.
The case pertains to alleged money laundering and tax dodging by Vivo and its associates.
