College student arrested for offering 'playboy' services in Raipur

By India Today Web Desk: A college student was arrested in Chhattisgarh's Raipur for allegedly throwing chits mentioning his name and number and expressing his desire to offer sex.

The incident has been reported from Avinash New Colony in Sector 30 of Nava Raipur. According to locals, a few residents have received strange chits in the last few days. In the slips, the student called himself a 'playboy', mentioned his contact number and offered sex.

Troubled with these obscene chits, the residents tried finding out who the man is, but to little avail. The residents then approached Rakhi police and lodged a complaint.

According to police, the man studies at a college in Nava Raipur. The police have registered a case and are currently interrogating the man to find out why he indulged in this obscene act. Police are refraining to divulge any further details.

The police are also probing if someone acted mischievously to malign the name of a young man. It has also been learnt that the police suspect that the phone number written on the chits is that of a girl and the chits have been purposely circulated to harass her.
