By Siraj Qureshi: A massive fire broke out in drums of chemicals stored in a godown in Agra's Tila Nandram area. The fire also spread across two nearby factories that injured dozens of labourers. Many suffered minor burns, while one with severe burns was taken to a nearby hospital.

Since the factories were located in a densely populated area, the fire could have engulfed the surrounding houses, so the locals too came forward to rescue the workers. It took two hours for the fire department, with the assistance of local residents, to bring the fire under control.

The police stated that they were investigating to find out who was the owner of the chemical factories and the authorities who allowed the factories to operate in this densely populated area.

He also said that this fierce fire could result in a huge monetary loss.

According to social worker Mohd Sharif Kala, the affected building belonged to Haji Anwar Qureshi and was rented to a man named Jugnu, who was identified as a resident of Agra’s Ashok Nagar. Jugnu reportedly runs a chemical factory in Ashok Nagar.
