A case has been registered in Lucknow against a woman who accused BJP candidate from Gorakhpur and actor Ravi Kishan of being the father of her daughter.

The police took action on a complaint lodged by Preeti Shukla, Ravi Kishan's wife.

At a press conference in Lucknow on Monday, Aparna Soni, aka Aparna Thakur, who is a resident of Mumbai, claimed that Ravi Kishan is the father of her 25-year-old daughter, Shinova. She alleged that Ravi Kishan was denying his daughter's rights.

Following this, Ravi Kishan's wife Preeti lodged a complaint at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow, based on which the police lodged an FIR against six individuals -- Aparna Soni, her husband Rajesh Soni, daughter Shinova Soni, son Saunak Soni, Samajwadi Party leader Vivek Kumar Pandey, and a journalist Khurshid Khan who runs a YouTube channel.

They have been charged under sections IPC Sections 120b, 195, 386, 388, 504 and 506.

In her complaint, Preeti Shukla alleged that Aparna Soni threatened her with her connections to the underworld.

Preeti Shukla claimed that Aparna had told her, "If you don't comply, I will frame your husband in a false rape case."

The FIR also mentioned Aparna Thakur demanding an extortion sum of Rs 20 crore.

A similar complaint was lodged in Mumbai. Despite this, Aparna Thakur arrived in Lucknow on April 15 and conducted a press conference, making allegations against Ravi Kishan.

In her complaint, Preeti Shukla expressed concern that Aparna's actions were aimed at influencing the elections by defaming her and her husband.

When contacted by India Today TV, Aparna Thakur said she received information about the FIR and was consulting her lawyer. She clarified that she had sent a legal notice to Ravi Kishan through her Mumbai-based lawyer 10 months ago, demanding Rs 20 crore for her daughter's education, marriage, and future, but she didn't receive a response.

Thakur denied any involvement with the underworld and claimed that she and her daughter were being harassed.

Regarding the complaint made to the Mumbai Police by Ravi Kishan's wife, Thakur stated that she had not received any notice or inquiry from them to date.

She further mentioned that her son, who has not been in India for the last four years, and her husband were also falsely implicated. Thakur said that even her lawyer, who is handling her case, has been named as an accused.

India Today TV tried to reach out to Preeti Shukla and Ravi Kishan but their contact numbers provided in the FIR were found invalid. This story will be updated when we get a response from them.
