The Goa Police on Thursday said they found a handwritten letter from the service apartment where Suchana Seth, the Bengaluru CEO who allegedly killed her four-year-old son stayed. In the letter, it was written, "I cannot tolerate the court's order for my husband to meet my son."

Police has sealed the letter and sent it to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for examination by a handwriting expert.

Earlier, sources told India Today that Suchana Seth allegedly killed her son to prevent her estranged husband from meeting the child as part of visitation rights.

Suchana Seth and her husband got married in 2010 after they met in Bengaluru. They filed for divorce and the proceedings for the same are ongoing.

According to the sources, Seth was unhappy with a court order allowing her estranged husband to meet their son every Sunday. She had also filed a domestic violence in 2022 against her husband, Venkat Raman. The court papers in the case showed that she sought maintenance of Rs 2.5 lakh per month from Raman, citing his income of Rs 9 lakh per month.

On Thursday, it was revealed that Suchana Seth told her friends and family members that her son resembled her husband and the child always reminded her of their estranged relationship.

HOW 'MURDER' CAME TO LIGHT

Venkat Raman had called Suchana Seth and told her he wanted to meet their son (in accordance with the court order) and asked her to bring the child to his house in Bengaluru on Sunday. However, Suchana turned down her estranged husband's request and instead asked him to meet her at a public place in the city.

To her request, Raman waited for Suchana at a public place for more than two hours, and called her up several times when she did not show up. She also allegedly did not respond to his messages and emails.

Subsequently, Raman travelled to Indonesia for work.

On January 6, Suchana Seth checked into a service apartment named 'Sol Banyan Grande' in North Goa's Candolim with her son. Two days later, on January 8, she checked out alone. She asked the staff to book a taxi for her to Bengaluru and insisted on it despite being told a flight would be cheaper.

The staff at the service apartment building started getting suspicious after they found blood stains inside the room where Suchana Seth had stayed. Further, they noticed that she checked out alone despite having arrived with her son.

Subsequently, the staff notified the police and Seth was arrested in Karnataka's Chitradurga with a bag carrying her son's body.
