Sunita Kejriwal, the wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Friday announced a WhatsApp campaign to rally support for her husband, who is in Enforcement Directorate (ED) custody in connection with the liquor policy case. She gave a number, 8297324624, and asked people to send their wishes and messages to the AAP supremo.

The campaign, titled, 'Kejriwal ko ashirvaad' (Blessings to Kejriwal), will kick off from today, Sunita Kejriwal said in her video message.

During her brief address, Sunita Kejriwal said her husband showed guts as he made his case in a Delhi court during yesterday's hearing in the liquor policy case. She called her husband a "patriot" and said he had challenged the "most corrupt and dictatorial forces" in the country.

"I have been with him for the last 30 years. Patriotism runs in his blood. You have considered him as your brother, your son. Don't you want to support him? I believe we will fight together," she said.

"You can send your blessings and prayers to Kejriwal on this WhatsApp number 8297324624. You can also send your messages to him. I am sure he will feel happy reading your messages while he is in jail," she added.

Sunita Kejriwal also said that she got phone calls from some people and was told that they were fasting for her husband. "They said we love Arvind Kejriwal," she further said.

On Thursday, a Delhi court extended Arvind Kejriwal's ED custody till April 1 after the Delhi Chief Minister was produced before it.

Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the probe agency on March 21 in a money-laundering case linked to the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.

The case pertains to alleged corruption and money laundering in formulating and executing the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22.
