2 killed as fire engulfs nursing home in Delhi's Greater Kailash area

A massive fire was reported at a nursing home in Delhi's Greater Kailash area early on Sunday. Fire tenders said two people were killed, while six others were rescued from the blaze.

By Arvind Ojha: At least two people were killed after a fire broke out in Delhi's Greater Kailash area in the early hours of Sunday. According to the details, the incident was reported from a nursing home at nearly 5:15 am today.

Six people were rescued from the spot, officials from the police and fire department confirmed.

Upon receiving information about the blaze, four fire tenders rushed to the spot and continued efforts to douse the flames.

The fire was doused and the situation was under control.

The reason for the fire was not yet known.

Earlier on December 29, 2022, the Delhi Police rescued as many as 14 people who were trapped on the first and second floor of a building that had caught fire.

The incident was reported from Delhi's Sangam Vihar area.

The 14 people (four females, five males and five children) belonged to the same family, police said.
